About the Role

We’re looking to add a full time Accounting Clerk to support our financial operations team. The ideal candidate will have a positive and friendly attitude and provide our clients with exceptional service. As an Accounting Clerk at TRUE, you’ll be joining a collaborative, diverse team in an inspiring work environment. We’re large enough to offer the resources and opportunities of a multifaceted company, yet small enough to maintain a family-like atmosphere where each person’s contribution is valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Accounts Payable (AP) including invoice processing, coding and approvals

  • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) including invoicing, payment tracking, and reconciliation of customer accounts

  • Proactively follow up on overdue accounts, including contacting clients to collect outstanding balances and maintaining positive client relationships

  • Complete and submit statutory remittances and tax payments

  • Set up and maintain new projects/jobs in the company’s software system, ensuring accurate financial tracking and coding

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements

  • Data entry of employee timesheets and disbursements (expenses) for field staff.

About You

  • Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred

  • Experience with accounting and payroll systems (experience with ERP/project-based systems is an asset)

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills

  • Strong computer skills – MS office suite

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly when liaising with clients regarding outstanding accounts.

  • Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing and record systems

  • Reliable, professional and team-oriented

Salary

The annual salary range for this position is $26-$29 per hour, depending on experience.
